Ingenico Payment Services today announces the signature of an agreement with Yapital, part of the Otto Group, a globally operating retail and services group. This agreement consists of integrating the Yapital solution into Ingenico Payment Services e-commerce platform as well as into the in-store processing platform. In Germany, Yapital deployment will leverage on the huge terminal base operated by the platform inherited from former easycash, as well as, in the coming months, on the Ingenico Payment Services e-commerce platform (ex ogone).

Yapital is an innovative cross-channel payment solution, allowing fast, easy and secure payments for online or in-store purchases as well as invoice payments and real-time money transfers.

For merchants, the main benefits include the following ones:

  • all payments are guaranteed by Yapital,
  • payments are processed in real time,
  • a single payment for pan-European commerce: covering common international and locally accepted payment schemes.

Leveraging this new partnership with Yapital, Ingenico Payment Services enhances its offering of more than 150 international and local payment methods which enable merchants to manage, collect and secure payments across channels, enabling them to simplify the consumer payment process and increase their sales conversion rates.

“This partnership with Yapital illustrates Ingenico Payment Services commitment to provide multichannel and digital merchants with the most innovative responses to the changing evolution of consumers’ lifestyles,” comments Pierre-Antoine Vacheron, EVP Europe & Payment services, Ingenico Group. “We continue to expand the platforms inherited from ogone and easycash to set the ground for a leading cross-channel player in Europe.”

“Yapital has reached another success in teaming up with a crucial technical and sales partner to help us conquer customers’ daily life”, says Nils Winkler, CEO of Yapital. “Consumers will be able to pay with their smartphone wherever they want – not just online, but at both major high-street retailers and small local businesses alike, like your local pizzeria. Partnering with the world´s largest payment acceptance network gives us excellent reach to achieve that goal.”

This solution will be showcased at dmexco exposition in Cologne on September 10-11, at Yapital booth (Hall 7 / C050-054).
